Visitor's Driving Permit

A Visitor's Driving Permit is required by law. Road Runner Car Rental is authorized to issue visitor's driving permits valid for 30 days at a cost of US$12. The driver must present a valid driver's permit from his/her country or otherwise in order to facilitate this.

Payment Methods

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover Cards. We also accept travelers cheques, US$ and EC$ cash. Euro currency is accepted at the bank rate at the time of rental. All rental charges must be paid in advance of the rental period.

Security

It is necessary to secure your rental with a credit card authorization for US$1125. This means that this amount will be "frozen" (not withdrawn) on your account for the duration of the rental.

Minimum Age & Driving Experience Requirements

The driver must be 25 years or more and have at least two years driving experience. Alternatively, an underage surcharge of US$25/day will apply on select vehicles.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Coverage

This is optional. For an additional amount of US$10/day you may limit your financial liability in the event of a collision with another vehicle to US$1125. Or, for an additional amount of US$20/day you may limit your financial liability in the event of a collision with another vehicle to US$500. In the case of our Pickups, Space Wagon minivans and Pajero 5drs, CDW coverage would cost US$15/day with your maximum financial liability in the event of a collision with another vehicle being limited to US$1850.

When CDW coverage is declined, you are responsible for the cost to repair all damage done, if any to the rented vehicle during the course of the rental period. Loss of Use and other administration charges will be applied in the event of an accident. CDW coverage does not hold if you violate the terms of our rental agreement.

PickUp and DropOff of Rentals

We are pleased to offer complimentary delivery to all ports of entry, including Melville Hall Airport, Canefield Airport and the Roseau Ferry Terminal. You may also drop off your car rental at no additional cost to any of these ports. This complimentary service also applies to locations within 5 miles of Roseau, the capital city. For pick up and drop off outside of this zone a reasonable rate applies depending on distance away.

No Show/Cancellation

Full rental charges will be applied for no shows. Please inform us as soon as possible of any delays in arrival so that our agent can be present to receive you at the appropriate time. At least 7 days notice must be given for cancellations or rental charges will also be applied.

Extension of Time

If you wish to extend your rental period please inform us as soon as possible. Rental charges for the extension will be applied to your credit card or arrangements can be made for cash payment in advance.

Fuel

We expect that the rented vehicle will be returned with the same amount of gas as initially given and noted on the contract. An amount of US$8/gallon will be charged against your credit card for vehicles returned with less. Alternatively, you may request that we deliver the vehicle with a prepaid full tank of gas; you may then return the vehicle on empty.

Additional Driver

The additional driver must present their valid driver's permit at the time of rental. There is no additional charge for a spouse. Otherwise, a surcharge of US$5/day applies.
